LWVMC Education Foundation The Education Foundation was formed by the LWVMC board of directors to be the non-profit arm of our local League. It receives tax deductible donations that support the educational mission of the League to foster an informed citizenry and promote the visibility of the LWV in Marin County. It also funds scholarships to be given to college students who are in the underserved population of Marin students. It does not fund any advocacy activities. Donations are encouraged. Contact the League office for further information: 415-507-0824; lwvmc@marin.org The LWVMC Education Foundation and the Marin Education Fund held a luncheon on November 13, 2007 to inaugurate the League's Scholarship Fund which will be channeled through the Marin Education Fund. A check for $15,000 in the name of Dorothy Belcher was presented to the Marin Education Fund Chair. Denise Lucy.
